Key points

  1. Bajaj Finserv's consolidated profit rose 22.9% to ₹2,757.66 crore in the September quarter.
  2. Revenue from operations climbed 16.7% to ₹43,415.65 crore.
  3. Net interest income grew 23.6% to ₹13,335 crore, helped by its consumer lending arm.

Bajaj Finserv, the holding company for Bajaj Finance and the group’s insurance businesses, reported a 22.9% rise in quarterly profit on Tuesday, as its lending arm kept up the pace of growth.

Consolidated profit after tax for the July to September quarter came to ₹2,757.66 crore, against ₹2,244.1 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose 16.7% to ₹43,415.65 crore, from ₹37,214.56 crore in the same quarter of 2025.

Net interest income, the gap between what the group earns on loans and pays on borrowings, grew 23.6% to ₹13,335 crore, from ₹10,785 crore a year ago.

The lender does the heavy lifting

Much of the gain traces back to Bajaj Finance, India’s largest consumer lender, which reported its own numbers on 19 October. That company’s profit rose 29% to ₹6,367 crore in the quarter, and it raised its loan growth forecast for the year, though it warned that further interest rate rises could squeeze its margins.

The Reserve Bank of India raised the repo rate by 25 basis points in October, pushing up borrowing costs for non-bank lenders. Bajaj Finserv’s results suggest the group has so far grown its loan book fast enough to stay ahead of that pressure.

The results came in the middle of a busy earnings day, with State Bank of India, Lupin and the National Stock Exchange also due to report their September quarter numbers. Investors will now look for the breakdown of the group’s general and life insurance businesses, which were not detailed in the first figures released on Tuesday.
