Key points

  1. Consolidated net profit rose 18.65% to ₹840.5 crore in the July to September quarter.
  2. Revenue climbed 28.2% to ₹7,655 crore from ₹5,969 crore a year earlier.
  3. The board proposed a 1:5 split and a 3:1 bonus, turning one share into 20, subject to a postal ballot.

Bosch Ltd’s consolidated profit rose 18.65% in the July to September quarter, and its board proposed a stock split and a bonus issue that together would turn each share into 20.

Net profit came to ₹840.5 crore, against ₹708.4 crore a year earlier, the company said on Friday afternoon. Revenue from operations rose 28.2% to ₹7,655 crore from ₹5,969 crore. On a standalone basis, profit was ₹674.6 crore, up 21.7%, and revenue was ₹6,164 crore, up 28.5%.

A split and a bonus

The board approved sub-dividing each ₹10 share into five shares of ₹2. It also approved a bonus issue of three new shares for every share held, paid out of retained earnings. Taken together, one share becomes 20.

To make room, authorised share capital would rise to ₹150 crore, divided into 75 crore shares of ₹2. Both steps need shareholders’ approval through a postal ballot. The company has said it will announce a record date later to decide who qualifies.

The shares

The stock touched a record ₹52,650 on the BSE on Friday, then slipped about 4% from that peak to a low of ₹50,400. At 2:50 pm it was at ₹50,528, down 3.7%, while the Sensex was up 1.6%.

Before the announcement the stock had gained more than 20% in two weeks, from about ₹43,650. Its 52-week low was ₹28,541, reached in March 2026.

What happens next

The postal ballot notice and record date are the next steps. Until shareholders approve, the split and bonus remain proposals, and the share price continues to trade on the current structure.

Markets are shut on Saturday, so Friday’s trade is the only reaction so far.
